Family Information

Parents:          George Thomas Cramp (1856-1917) and Mary A. Cramp, nee Errey, (1856-).

Siblings:         Ellen Elizabeth (1870-1881); Mary Matilda (1871-1949); Joseph Charles (1875-1946).

George Thomas married Winifred Mary Purkiss (1881-1956) and they had two daughters – Maud Winifred, b. 1905, and Evelyn Kate, b. 1910.

When George Thomas died in 1973 he was living at Venmore, Hoads Wood, Battle Road, St. Leonards, Sussex, and he left an estate of £2,820.

First World War Experience

George Thomas enlisted sometime in 1915 and served as a Sapper in Salonika.  He was awarded both the Victory Medal and the British War Medal.
