Parents:          Moses Cramp (1844-1908) and Charlotte Cramp, nee Hebden, (1849-1909).

In 1901 Moses, Charlotte, Ernest, and Alice were living at Turkey Farm, Turkey Road, Bexhill on Sea.

Charles married Elizabeth Snashall (1879-1980) in 1905 in Eastbourne and they had one child, a son, Charlie Francis (1908-1970).  In the 1911 Census they were living at 34 Reginald Road – moving to No. 48 sometime before 1918.

First World War Experience

Like so many other soldiers, Charles’ Service Records have not survived so we know nothing of his war service.  He enlisted in 1915 and served in Salonika.  He was awarded the Victory Medal and the British War Medal.
