The Fundraising team is hosting a Charity Auction for Bexhill Museum on the evening of Thursday 20th August in the Poppy Club, Little Common. James Braxton, well known to viewers of Antiques Road Trip and Bargain Hunt, will be giving his time and expertise to deliver a talk and then wield the gavel to raise money for our museum.
Items have been generously donated by museum members and volunteers and include vintage boxed Corgi cars and other diecast models, Mamod steam engines, numerous stamps and coins, ceramics, glassware, cameras, metalware, costume jewellery, Japanese lacquerware, watches and much more. There will be just over 50 lots.
Entry to the auction is by pre-booking as there are limited places, and to register and buy the catalogue/ticket at a price of just £6, visit the museum shop from 1st August. We cannot accept commission bids – it’s all on the day. We ask bidders to be generous, as all profits will go to maintaining and improving our wonderful museum. As before, contact steve54.hall@gmail.com with any queries.
The Bexhill Museum Education Room will be open on Sunday 16th August for viewing the lots prior to the sale.
James is even kind enough to offer an auction ‘promise’ too, so it will be an intriguing evening. You have to be there if you want to buy a bargain and help a valuable cause!
