Hastings Old Town

In this illustrated talk Ken Brooks describes how Hastings old town has changed over the past 150 years. Early images of the Rock-a-Nore area will be compared with present day views. These will include the fishing boats, net shops, Tan house, East well, Fishermen’s Church and the sad story of the doomed harbour. Local characters such as Biddy the Tubman will also be featured. Tickets are £10 (£8 for museum members) and must be booked in advance in person at the museum in advance, or reserved by calling the museum on 01424 222058.
