First World War Experience

Albert enlisted on 5th May 1915 when he was 24 years and 10 months old. He first joined the Army Reserve but was quickly posted to the Camberwell Brigade of the Royal Field Artillery where he served in both France and Germany.  He was demobbed on 27th June 1919 and was awarded the Victory Medal, the British War Medal, and the 15 Star.
