Daniel Mayer b.1857 in Germany. He was a naturalised German for 20 years before the outbreak of the First World War. He was also Mayor of Bexhill. He died 23.08.1928.  B0002 MAYER Daniel (Mayor)

Alice Allez b.1862 in Guernsey Channel Island. She died on 17.11.1912 in Battle. In her will she left £15,761 8s 3d to her husband Daniel and a solicitor. This would be approximately £677,723.46 in 2014.

First World War Experience

He served in the Royal Garrison Artillery Number 3 Fire Command.

Emile died in October 1918 at Milton Military Hospital from influenza and pneumonia. He was 35 years old. He was buried with full military honours in Bexhill Cemetery.
