Family Information

Parents:          Charles Simeon Lousada (1824-1904) and Charlotte Sophia Lousada (1847-1894), nee Moysey.

Siblings:         Beatrice (1877-1970); Emilie (1878-1956); Nina, born 1879; William (1882-1968); Florence, born 1885; Bertie, his twin, (1889-1915).

Charles was a retired Captain in the Forces and Beatrice, Nina, William, and Florence, were all born in St. Leonards on Sea, Sussex.

In the 1911 census Edward was already serving in the Royal Sussex Regiment.

First World War Experience

Charles served in the B.E.F. in 1914 and was killed on Monday, 2nd November 1914.  He was awarded the 1914 Star, the Victory Medal, and the British War Medal.
