Family Information
Charles married Alice Hearn in the first quarter of 1913 in Battle. They had five children – Arthur (1913-1981); Margaret (1918-1984); Florence (1920-1920); Charles J. (1924-1987); and Vera, born in 1928.
First World War Experience
Unfortunately, Charles’ service records have not survived so we only know that he had enlisted by 21st November 1914 and was awarded the Victory Medal and the British War Medal.
