First World War Experience

Like his brother, George, James’ war service is difficult to trace. There is a notice in the local newspaper dated 18th December 1915 saying that he had joined the Reserves and another dated 1st January 1916 saying that he was ‘serving’. Nothing else can be definitely be put to this James’ service during 1915 and 1919.
