Parents:          Jabez Edmund Cubitt (1860-1931) and Anna Maria Cubitt, nee Rump, (1865-1961).

First World War Experience

Arthur enlisted on 11th October 1916 at the age of 17 years 6 months. He was 5’ 7¼” with a chest measurement of 33” (expanded by 2”). His physical development was deemed ‘poor – but will improve’.   He had 6/6 vision in both eyes and had two vaccination marks on his left arm.

Arthur had two recorded hospital stays for Urethritis – between 25.6. and 5.7.1918 and also 25.11.1918.

The researcher has not been able to ascertain what, if any, medals Arthur was awarded.
