Family Information

Parents:          Edwin Goff Clemmans (1864-1934) and Emily Frances Clemmans, nee Tanton (1861-1934).  Both Edwin and Emily were born in Kent and Edwin was in business as a Clothier and Outfitter.

 Siblings:         Edith Emily, born 1887; Florence Emma, born in 1889; and William Ernest (1898-1982).

In 1911 Edwin and family were living at 35 Western Road but then moved to 5 Windsor Road.

In the first half of 1916 Cecil married Edith Brett in Eastry, Kent. When Edwin died in 1973 he was living at 18 Barrack Road, Bexhill on Sea, and left an estate of £10,958.

First World War Experience

We know that Cecil had enlisted by 29th May 1915 as an article appeared in a local newspaper but, apart from that, we have no record of his war service.  No trace can be found either of any medals issued to him.
