Family Information

Parents:          William Joseph Bendelow (1869-1909) and Clara Jane Bendelow, nee English, (1867-1900).

In 1901 William senior and William junior were living at Ombersley Road, Worcester, and in 1911 William (junior) was lodging at Dulce, Springfield Road, Bexhill on Sea.

William married Winifred Chapman (1895- ) in 1918 in Preston, Lancs.  They had two children – William Lionel Bendelow (1919-1999), and Earle Trevor Bendelow (1921-1989).

First World War Experience

Apart from two articles in local newspapers, together with a photograph and details of his rank and address, nothing can be found of William’s war service.
