First World War Experience

The only information that the researcher can find on Gustav is from his Medal Rolls sheet. This shows that he first enlisted in the Forces on 17th November 1911 and on 11th September 1914 was deemed to have joined the war.

An article appeared in a local newspaper dated 6th April 1918 stating that he was home on a few days leave from France.

Gustav was awarded the Victory Medal, the British War Medal, and the 14 Star.
