Bexhill in WWII Gallery

Bexhill in WWII Gallery

The brainchild of our Patron Eddie Izzard, the Museum’s model railway recreation of Bexhill during the bitter winter of 1940 is the centrepiece of our new Bexhill in WWII Gallery.

Find out where the bombs fell on our giant town map, see original items from WWII, from gas masks to posters, ration books, helmets and other artefacts from the conflict.

Watch historical films and inspect our representation of an air raid shelter. Our recordings share local people's personal experiences of war on the Home Front.
