Understanding Fossils

Fossils have made a big contribution to our understanding of the origins of species, reconstructing ancient environments and figuring out continental plate movements.
In this area we have a variety of fossilised remains including plants, fish and dinosaurs. Ken Brooks gives a talk about Understanding Fossils for his next informal lecture on Saturday 11 July at the museum, starting at 1.30pm.
Note this is a change to the previously announced talk on Fossil Folklore. Similar – but different. Tickets are £10 (£8 for museum members) which includes refreshments and entry to the museum galleries. There are plenty of fossils on display which you will be able to visit either before or after the talk.
