The Golden Age of the Moche and Chimu

Local historian Ken Brooks presents an illustrated lecture.

While the great Egyptian civilisation was declining, the Moche and Chimu people were creating the most remarkable cultures in South America. For example, their craftsmen discovered a sophisticated method of electroplating with gold and silver. We have also learned much about their everyday lives from their wonderful ceramics Examples can be seen in Bexhill Museum.

Tickets are £10 (£8 for members) and must be pre-booked. The charge will include tea and coffee, and admission to the museum displays. Please note the museum closes at 4pm.

You may call into the museum and pay by cash or phone the museum reception on 01424 222058 to reserve your place; Payments cannot be taken over the phone, but  payment on the day is acceptable. Your place will be held until 15 minutes before the talk starts.

Space is limited in the Museum Education Room so please book early.
