The Evolution of Stars

Bexhill speaker Gary Newport, a member of the Institute of Physics and the Royal Astronomical Society, takes us almost as far away from Bexhill as it is possible to go – into deep space – to explore the evolution of stars. He reveals the tell-tale traces they leave on our home planet, long after the stars themselves burn out and die. Gary is presently studying the evolution of massive stars at the University of Kent, using numerical models to identify how such stars are formed. Discounted admission for Bexhill Museum members.
