The everyday world of the Ancient Egyptians

13 June @ 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm

Join local historian Ken Brooks at Bexhill Museum for an illustrated journey into the world of Ancient Egypt. Beyond the great pyramids, mighty monuments and famous pharaohs lies a vivid story of everyday life. Drawing on evidence preserved in tombs and temples, this talk explores the beliefs, customs and working lives of ordinary Egyptians, whose images and stories have survived for thousands of years. Discover how religion shaped society, why the Egyptians were so concerned with immortality, and what tomb paintings can tell us about farming, crafts, family life and work. The event takes place at Bexhill Museum on Saturday 13 June at 1.30pm. Pre-booking is advised.
