Tracing the story of Bexhill Old Town’s Trees

14 September @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

In the centuries since the founding of St Peter’s Church in Bexhill Old Town, and for eons before that the treescape around the parish has constantly changed. From forest to private hunting ground, then farmland, it eventually became the housing development space we know today. But trees live a long time, and a few remain among the rare relics of old Bexhill’s arboreal history. Heather Morrey & Penny Murray lead a walk round the Old Town exploring them. Pre-book by messaging [email protected] or calling 01424 222058.

The guided walk costs £5.00 for adults and £2.00 for accompanied children. The walk will take about two hours and cover about one and a half miles

We regret that no dogs are allowed on these walks. Numbers will be limited to 20 walkers to avoid pavement congestion for local residents. The walk leaders are Museum volunteers and all proceeds go to Bexhill Museum.
