Grey Owl’s Legacy and Attenborough’s Dream
15 October @ 2:30 pm - 4:00 pm

Grey Owl was a bestselling writer and early conservationist whose warnings about humanity’s exploitation of nature helped shape modern environmental thought.
Speaker Peter Smith explores the life of Grey Owl — born Archie Belaney in Hastings in 1888 — who famously reinvented himself as a Native American, claiming Apache heritage to promote his message of respect for the natural world.
Tea and coffee (£1.50) will be available before the talk, along with a selection of related books from the museum shop.
Tickets available on the door: £4.00 Members, £5.00 Non-members.
