The rare art of hand-crafted lace making in the UK continues to survive through the work of guilds, adult-education classes and demonstrations at country fairs. Some of these expert practitioners will be showing off their lace making techniques at Bexhill Museum on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd August.

It’s just one of the treats you can expect at our weekend event at Bexhill Museum Costumes & Crafts when our curators bring out some of their treasures from the museum stores, some on display for the first time.

Free admission to exhibition. Donations appreciated. Normal charges apply for the rest of the museum.
