The Origin of Bexhill & The Rule of King Offa

21 August @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

£6.00
King Offa

Did Bexhill exist before the days of King Offa of Mercia? Who were the Mercians? Why did they get involved in Sussex – a land so far away from their kingdom? We reveal what King Offa, and his wife Cynethryth were planning and how Bexhill developed into a village and manor on a hill. Our speaker, David EP Dennis, tells all.

Part of a series of talks by David, an author, public speaker, historian and an Associate Fellow of the Royal Historical Society. More about him and his books here.

Tickets may be bought on the door if available.
