Another silent classic: The Adventures of Prince Achmed
18 June @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Following on from his delightful presentation of Buster Keaton’s The General, composer and film buff Mike Hatchard returns to Bexhill Museum to accompany a showing of another silent classic – The Adventures of Prince Achmed by Lotte Reiniger – the oldest surviving full-length animated film.
Mike will again provide the piano accompaniment with a completely new specially composed score.
Lotte Reiniger is known today for her extraordinarily elaborate silhouette animations. Her 1926 feature, The Adventures of Prince Achmed, is a thoroughly enchanting experience, in which a handsome prince rides a flying horse to faraway lands and embarks on magical adventures, which include befriending a witch, meeting Aladdin and battling demons.
Doors open 6.30pm. Start time 7pm. Tickets available online: https://wegottickets.com/event/661030
