Landscapes are formed by myriad geological forces, including erosion by wind, rain & ice, and the opposing effects of deposition by rivers, floods & glaciers. Weathering helped create deserts, flood plains, meandering rivers – and Fairlight Cliffs – the erosion and conservation of which will also be discussed.
Ken Brooks is the founder and current chair of the Hastings and District Geological Society. A popular contributor to Bexhill Museum’s talks programme, he is the author of a number of publications including Geology and Fossils of the Hastings Area and Hastings Then and Now.
