Pevensey Castle East Gate, Castle Road, Pevensey, BN24 5LE
Walk: We’ll be looking at 1,700 years of history, walking round the Roman fort and outside the medieval castle. There are also two early English churches, some old houses and the tiny Court House/Gaol. The Court House will be open for us. There is no charge but they will welcome donations. St Nicolas Church in Pevensey will also be open for a group visit. After the walk you may wish to visit the medieval castle, run by English Heritage, which is open until 18.00.
There is a charge of £4.00 for adults and £2.00 for accompanied children on each walk. We regret that no dogs are allowed on these walks. Local public transport timetables should be consulted regarding availability on the day. The walk leaders are Museum volunteers and all proceeds go to Bexhill Museum.
