Summer holiday creative fun with Bexhill Museum. East Sussex Music & the De La Warr Pavilion!

Join this free four day summer holiday project to explore the Lost World of The Dinosaurs through hands-on activity at Bexhill Museum and songwriting, music and art at the De La Warr Pavilion.

These activities are for children aged 8 – 11 years who are from families who receive benefit-related free school meals and must be booked in advance.

Monday 26 July: Learn all about dinosaurs with dinosaur fossils, skulls and bones. Led by the team at Bexhill Museum at Bexhill Museum in Egerton Park, Bexhill

Tuesday 27 & Wednesday 28 July: Join East Sussex Music for songwriting and music workshops on a dinosaur theme! In the De La Warr Pavilion auditorium

Thursday 29 July: Artists Sineid Codd and Nancy Odufona will lead fun, creative dinosaur-related activities in the De La Warr Pavilion auditorium.

You will be making amazing Dinosaur Footprint Wallpaper in our art workshop!! There’s a dinosaur in the museum who is missing his thumb spike! We don’t know exactly what it looks like, and this gave us a great idea. You’ll get to see the strangely wonderful Holly Hendry exhibition to get your imaginations fizzing before inventing and making your own special object – a wearable sculpture to take home!! Please wear clothes that you don’t mind getting messy in!

All activities will be followed by a FREE wholesome cold lunch, freshly prepared in the DLWP kitchen every day.

9.30 – 1.30pm

Funded by The Department of Education and East Sussex County Council and co-organised by Bexhill Museum, East Sussex Music and the De La Warr Pavilion.
