Lecture: Thomas Brassey was perhaps the leading railway contractor of the Victorian era, the man behind many of the world’s railway lines at the time. He built Normanhurst Court in Catsfield and may be thought of as one of the great technologists of all time. This talk is given by Lucinda Fraser, a fifth generation direct descendant of the man himself.
